These ladies have learned a lot this week as we prepare to take math to higher levels this year.
Thanks to funds from our Math Achievement Grant, we were able to implement the Bridges Intervention program during the last school year. This week, we are sending this crew to Denver to learn more about effective math practices.
Less than 50 students left to register! If you tried today and received an error, the system is now working! Please register online TODAY. Call the school if you need help - 270-898-2852.
Postcards have been mailed to all students entering 1st-5th grades! If you don't get one, it's probably because we haven't received your registration.
We will mail Kindergarten postcards after Brigance screening appointments. Be sure to sign up for an appointment on August 2nd.

***OLR is Mobile Friendly!!! Online Registration can be completed on Mobile devices such as iPads, tablets and smartphones; although it is easier to view on a computer. If you do not have access to a computer, most schools will have posted hours in July to help with OLR. Or you can go to the Marshall County Public Libraries and use their computers & internet to complete registration. You will go to the Marshall County Schools website (www.marshall.kyschools.us) and click on MENU and then under DEPARTMENTS click on ADMISSIONS/IC and then select the OLR EXISTING student icon.
Once you have accessed your account, use the following directions to get started:
Click on “More” - then click “Online Registration” - then choose the “24-25 Next Year Existing Student Registration” button.

I am delighted to introduce the minority parent candidates for the 2024-2025 SBDM Council:
Tiffany Gray
Statement: I would like the opportunity to serve as a minority parent member so all students are represented. I would be a liaison between the school and the parents to make sure the parents get information they need in an accessible way and the school staff get the feedback from a parent's view.
Asia Shields
Statement: I would be honored to serve on the council as a minority and help represent those individuals.
The election will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 12PM-6PM in the Sharpe Elementary School office. If you will have a child enrolled at Sharpe for the upcoming year, you are eligible to vote in this election. (This includes parents, stepparents and foster parents. Legal guardians are also eligible to vote if the child lives in their home.) I urge every parent to participate in this important decision about the future of our school.
Results will be announced via email and social media on July 9th.
