Reading in 5th grade is hard this year. Mrs. McClard is pushing them to new levels. The rigor level has increased, but they are rising to the challenge, and we can't wait to see how much these students will grow this year. Ask your 5th grader about the lessons they have learned this week within the folktale they have been reading. Ask them to talk to you about implicit and explicit evidence. Ask them to share their vocabulary words with you.

During 3rd grade Number Corner, students were discussing lines of symmetry and through a hands-on activity, they were able to truly understand symmetry in relation to equal sides and angles within various shapes.

We welcome veterans in our community to join us.

Being able to cut on a line is really important for our students. Cutting helps with fine motor skills which helps with handwriting.

Working with a new letter and getting to ask questions during Mystery Box time is lots of fun in kindergarten.

We had a very special recognition assembly this morning where we announced our first round of Green Devil Greats. These students have exhibited Green Devil Greatness during the first nine weeks, and we are so honored to celebrate each one of them. Their pictures will go on our Green Devil Greatness wall later this week.
