We’re celebrating High Attendance Day on September 9th with a special “Growing Together” Rainbow Day at Sharpe Elementary! 💚🌱
We want to see EVERY Green Devil at school and ready to grow with us! Please do not schedule any appointments so that we can count your child present for every minute of the day. Each grade level has a special color, so start planning now:
🔴 Pre-K & Kindergarten: Red
🟠 1st Grade: Orange
🟡 2nd Grade: Yellow
🟢 3rd Grade: Green
🔵 4th Grade: Blue
🟣 5th Grade: Purple
Students are encouraged to wear as much of their grade-level color as possible! Every student is an important piece of our school rainbow, and we want everyone included. 🌈
If your child needs a piece of clothing in their grade-level color, please reach out to us! We will work with our Family Resource Center to help make sure every student has something they can wear.

Today, we proudly announced our newest group of 5th Grade Green Ambassadors! 🌿
These students completed an application and were selected to serve in a variety of leadership roles throughout our school. They will be positive role models, leaders, helpers and representatives of what it means to be part of the Green Devil family. 💚
We are so proud of these students for stepping up, accepting responsibility and choosing to lead!

The 21st Century After School program kicked off today. Special thanks to our food services team for the extra snacks and our staff for spending extra time with our students.

We are loving the reading work happening in our classrooms! Our Green Devils are putting in the work every day to become stronger, more confident readers. 💚📖
One of the best parts of our day is small-group reading time, when teachers can work closely with students to meet them right where they are. These focused groups give students opportunities to strengthen skills, practice strategies, build vocabulary, discuss texts and grow their confidence as readers.
From small-group instruction to independent reading and meaningful conversations about books, reading is happening everywhere you look at Sharpe! 📚💚
