Green Devil girls were GLOWING tonight on the court and cheering from the sidelines 📣🏀📣

Our 3rd graders had an amazing day at the first-ever STEAM Quest at Marshall County High School! 💚
They explored hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math stations led by the CTE and Theater Departments—everything from video production to health sciences and carpentry. They even enjoyed a performance of Tinker Bell in the Performing Arts Center! 🎭
A huge thanks to everyone who made this day of creativity, curiosity and teamwork possible for our Green Devils! #MarshalNation #GreenDevilsGlow

Even in PE today, Mr. Lamb was bringing math to life. They made tens, counted up to 10 and showcased greater than and less than while being active in the gym.

Math workplaces in first grade were phenomenal today. The mathematical conversations while playing games and solving problems together are proof of the learning happening in all of our classrooms. #GreenDevilsGlow

Working hard to be fit in 5th grade PE 💪

Today, our teachers spent time together planning their next reading unit, and then they stayed late into the evening meeting with families. Our school is truly blessed with amazing educators who work hard all day and night for our students.

We love having our aspiring educators in the building each morning.

Please consider donating a baked good for the cake walk on Friday.

Congratulations to our Classes of the Week:
Primary - Mrs. Emily
Intermediate - Mrs. Barrett
Music - 5th grade

Halloween and Red Ribbon Week make things crazier at school, but these students still made sure to follow our Green Guidelines the whole time.

Need to know what we are serving for breakfast and lunch each week? Click HERE for the menus.
You never know what you will walk into when visiting Mrs. Barrett's math classroom. You always know there will be high level math conversations and critical thinking, though. #GlowingMath

These boys have had the opportunity to enrich their learning this week with Reader's Theatre, and they have rocked it!

The Sharpe Elementary School Parade of Costumes will take place in our car rider lot. All registered "trunks" are asked to be in a spot ready to go by 9AM. Officer Johnny and other staff members will guide you to a parking spot for the parade. Please be prepared with candy for 260 students. Our students will walk through with their teachers. Family members will NOT be allowed to walk in the parade. This event is ONLY for Sharpe students. If you are bringing a sibling or cousin, please keep the child with you and at our spot. Thank you for being a part of this event! Remember that we do not allow scary costumes, face paint or masks.
First graders are continuing to master the mathematical concept of subitizing. Ask your student if he or she can explain this foundational building block that helps build number sense and fluency.

Reviewing sight words and decoding rhyming words during small group reading instruction in kindergarten is one way that we ensure students will be able to read at high levels in the future.

Mrs. Smith's class won the Golden Spoon award in the cafeteria which earned them extra treats from our Food Services team. This class has been so respectful in leaving clean tables and having great conversational voice levels.

Every morning, fifth graders enrich their math minds with mathematical excursions that deepen their understanding.
